Understand differently.
Moving forward together.
From what is present, here and now.
Ergodivergence is a project of trainings, tools and spaces for reflection around neurodivergence, human functioning and the complex realities of everyday life.
Through a human, creative and adaptable approach, the project aims to better understand what really influences the ability to function, learn and adapt on a daily basis.
UPDATED MAY 14, 2026
Ergodivergence is an evolving model developed through ongoing learning, clinical experience, collaboration, and community feedback.
Following participation in the annual conference of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists, the model will continue to evolve in order to better reflect current best practices, inclusion, affirming approaches, and broader representation of neurodivergent realities. As a result, you may notice several changes over the coming weeks and months.
Ergodivergence also recognizes the limitations and influences of the cultural and social context in which the model was developed, including the perspective of its lead developer as a white person descended from settler-colonial ancestry. Developed in Quebec City, Ergodivergence acknowledges that this work takes place on the traditional unceded territory of the Huron-Wendat Nation, while also recognizing the enduring presence and contributions of the other First Nations connected to this territory.
